Four Day Water Prayer ✧ August 28 - 31

A Gathering in Unity: Honoring the Spirit of Water

Join us in this auspicious four day prayer. Local community together with traditional elders of Hopi, Lakota, Diné and Huichol lineages. Bring waters from your homelands to place on the water altar we build together. Sweat, pray, council and share delicious local, organic food as we widen our networks of water protectors, earth stewards, wisdom keepers and prayerful warriors.

THE LAND: At 6,700+ feet elevation, this 35 acre property is nestled in the foothills of Mt. Lamborn, surrounded by National Forest, BLM land, a wildlife sanctuary and a 400 acre ranch. Quietly away from the hustle of society below, this land offers us the opportunity to sink into another way of being, a different timeline and a deeper prayer. We are completely off grid, enjoy incredible star gazing at night and the gentle stillness of nature throughout the days. We are located 1.2 miles up an unmaintained forest service road, so high clearance, 4WD vehicles are recommended to arrive here.

This gathering is an off grid camping experience. We will be living together, close to nature and all her colors, so please be prepared for all kinds of weather. If you have questions about food, transportation, camping or general land logistic questions, feel free to send us an email by clicking here.

DAILY FLOW: Each day will begin with a sunrise sweat lodge, or purification ceremony, led by a traditional elder. Following the ceremony, we will share food and have a rest in the early afternoon. Evenings include sharing in a delicious dinner, followed by a fireside teachings with elders and local community members in the big tipi. All meals are included for onsite campers, and day visitors can share lunch and dinner with us. Meals will begin with a prayer and will be sourced from local growers and farmers.

RECIPROCITY: Sunrise sweats and other ceremonies are free of charge and open to the public. Donations for these are welcome but no one will be turned away for lack of funds. Weekend passes, however, that include camping, all meals, teachings and full access to the living prayer community of the weekend are available for financial exchange. These can be found below. ↓↓ We also have a limited number of day passes available for people who would like to join us for activities, lunch and evening teachings for a day. ↓↓

**It is important to us to take care of the elders who are making the journey to join us in this prayer. We want to cover their travel expenses, food and lodging. In addition to ticket sales, we are gathering donations to further support the comfort and care of our visitors and support upgrades to the land for their arrival.**

Testimonials

“I wanted to express my deepest gratitude for your hosting such a beautiful retreat. During my drive home I felt deep gratitude for the incredible gift of having you as a part of my life…The space you provided helped me shed light on a sadness I’ve been holding onto tightly for years… For the first time in a very so long, I was able to recognize that perhaps I do belong, I do have purpose, my life does have meaning outside the cultural norm so disconnected from the whole of reality. Thank you for such an incredible gift and your friendship.” - Miki, Denver

“I was going through a lot of big life changes and really need a place to be energetically held. Leah wrapped me in a warm embrace - with ceremony, a herbal foot bath, song, being swaddled in a tipi, a prayer fire, her perceptive insights and delicious cooking. The land itself rose to greet me as I slept in the meadows and emotionally released at the waterfall. Being off-grid and offline, going to sleep by candlelight and waking to make a fire, helped me exhale and reset. I left feeling relaxed and capable of tending to myself and my life again. Thank you Leah and Mother Seed Farm.” - Meghan Gilroy, shamanic healer

“This past weekend, I had the profound honor and privilege of participating in a silent retreat with the beloved Leah Bee at Mother Seed Farm, nestled amidst the foothills of Lamborn Mountain. This land sits just up the road from my home, and yet something about stepping onto it in this way felt like crossing a threshold. What I received there was something my system has been longing for since long before my move to the valley: true rest. A baseline sense of resource. A remembering.” - Katie Snyder, Colorado

“I recently had the blessing of attending a 3 day silent retreat on the wild and loved land at Mother Seed Farm. It was the most nourished I’ve felt in a long time, in rhythm with myself and nature. Remembering how powerful retreat can be. Naps, meditation, journaling, yoga, prayer, drumming, deep listening and acute seeing. Opening ceremony, sun and clouds, communicating with the breeze in the tree tops-surround sound. Circled by a hummingbird so close I could feel the movement of her rapidly beating wings on my face. I found myself walking slowly, it felt as tho I was both floating and simultaneously grounded by each step to the earth beneath my feet. Unwinding old injuries, healing. Holding hands, shared meals in comfortable silence. Stillness. Peace, deep peace.” - Andrea Ahava, Colorado
